1. Planning

A schedule for the off-line period was agreed on. It includes:

Rotating wall and emittance measurements with trap

Optimization of beam transfer line at 60 kV

Injection tests into EBIS after re-alignment of the EBIS

      Beam delivery to Witch

      Linac tests with EBIS beam

      Molecular beam tests in Trap/EBIS

      Cs/Li tests in Trap/EBIS

Tests of new beam diagnostics boxes

FC removal in CA0 switchyard followed by beam optimization

Stable beam to O. Tengblad’s experiment

Luis Fraile will distribute the schedule.

2. Control system

* Stefan Emhofer declined the offer to assist with the control system at REX.

* Dirk Schwalm’s promised money for Stefan can be redistributed to employ Ivan Deloose doing the XP upgrade etc.

* Thomas, Pierre and Fredrik should introduce the system to Ivan Deloose on Thursday evening. He’ll give a time estimation for the work.

* The ISOLDE collaboration pays the AB control group for a technician for two years, distributed over four years. He’ll start asap and then take over the work from Ivan Deloose.

3. REXTRAP

* Ivan Podadera will assist Pierre and Roman (technical student from CAEN) with rotating wall and emittance measurements.

* The ion source cage should be finished next week. Until then, 30 kV operation.

* The Munich emittance meter is under installation after the trap.

4. REXEBIS

* The gate valve should arrive at the end of this week.

* The inner structure is ONCE AGAIN DELAYED, in spite of repeated promises. Hope to receive it in the end of the week.

* EBIS could be operational for injection tests 5/4.

5. Linac

* Extra costs

      spare MCP (Coulotron) 6000 euro.

Purchase of new roughing pump instead of broken one   4000 euro.

New framegrabber card for beam diagnostics (XP compatible)  1000 euro.

* A budget update to be provided by Thomas and Fredrik for the next meeting.

* A magnet power supply for a quadrupole triplet has been repaired.

4. Misc

* Nicola David from the power group progresses with the systematization of all power supplies.

* Beam diagnostics boxes still foreseen to be installed w14.

* A work package description should be finished by Mats, Thomas and Fredrik by the end of the week. To be presented by Enrico Chiaveri for the management board.

* No news about the second student from Caen intended to work on the control system. His arrival seems now more uncertain.

* Thomas suggested that Klaus Rudolph from Munich could assist with the RFQ construction (RF issues). Pierre mentioned that Caen also has some experience about traps etc. Ivan should contact Caen for further information.
